Radio tray removal

Featured Replies

Can someone please tell me how to remove the tray? Google hasn't really helped. I'm probably installing a double din head unit tomorrow and it'd be nice to know what I'm doing in advance...

Thanks

It just pulls out if you mean the tray under the radio, it clips in very tight, but should have no screws holding it in unless someone has got creative. It is a lot easier after you have the head unit out of the way and it's cage.

Thanks, I did wonder, it seemed so solid when I put the current head unit in I was sure it must be screwed in somehow...

I find gripping the tray by the vent holes in the top of it helps to get a good yank on it and out she pops :)
