how do you do them clips that hold the grill into the bonnet please!? mk2 pre fl, im wanting to swap the badge to the newer one!

Get a small socket that just fits over the clip and push it out

Do you need to remove the grill?

Surely you can warm the badge with a hairdryer so the sticky pad starts to loosen and then prise it off with a plastic trim tool.

That's what I did on my Yeti and I'm pretty sure the Octavia Mk2 used the same badge / grill arrangement.

I took he grille off to do my badge and it was a doddle, mostly because I think it made it easier to remove the old badge and clean the area before fitting the new one in a clean/dry environment although at this time of year you have temperature on your side when it comes to fitting the new one.

Am looking to change all my badges on my vrs, including wheels, but not steering wheel badge...
