Parrot Bluetooth Kit - Any installation Pics

Featured Replies

I have a 1.6cr Elegance 2010 and would really like to join the 21st century and be able make and receive calls from my phone without breaking the law or being a danger on the road ! Does anyone have pics/advice on the best and most discrete system for our cars ? Ta.

I have a Parrot CK3100 in my Superb, had it professionally installed and the only part visible is the screen/controls

Connection is seamless and sounds great through the speakers.

I'd do it proper and get an OEM install. I've had both and proper built in is far superior. Not that much different in cost either but it mutes stereo, works with maxidot and more discreet

Having had parrot kits and also the Bury touchscreen kits, I wouldn't go near a parrot again. You'll spend more time pressing buttons and twiddling knobs while trying to see the small screen than actually making or receiving calls. With the Bury kit it's touch the screen and speak the name of the contact you want to call, and the system does it for you. It even tells you who's calling when they ring so you don't need to look at the screen. Also, VW thought so much of the Bury kit that they also sell them as the VW Touch kits and are a dealer install.

Oh, and I have a brand new one for sale in the classifieds section.

I will have a mooch now..... what exactly is the bury kit ??? And i thought there was no OEM bluetooth headunit for the 2010 Fabia ??

Its not a Bluetooth head unit its a module that is attached to the head unit. Expect to pay around £120-130 for a cable kit and module. Dead easy to install and requires some coding. Do you have maxidot DIS?

Nope, just the standard headunit that would of come with a 2010 elegance Fabia in 2010

If youve got an elegance (same year as ours) then you'll have swing radio and maxidot dis (between the rev and speedo) and a set of controls on the end of the wiper stalk?

Yep i think i do ? Oh i have searched via google images and a lot of the parrot installations tend to be in or around the air vents.... not keen, i fancy really tucking the unit away somewhere near the wheel so it can't be seen and all you then need to do is press the call green button and say the callers name, very similar to a system which is already fitted with some of the newer cars on the steering wheel.

Fitted mine just above the cup holders, underneath the head unit. Just have to reach across and press the answer button etc.
