Folks - my 04 Mk1 estate number plate light fitting has melted, and the dealer tells me that it will cost over £100 for the parts. Anyone got a good source of supply for such a part? What's a good way to start looking? And can I find part number information anywhere - the dealer tells me that a mod was introduced to stop this happening.

Look on eBay for member Jim-cast he's selling second hand light holders and panels fairly cheap. I changed my bulbs for led's which are much cooler and don't melt the plastic.
