Aftermarket head unit: dimmer wire, steering wheel controls

Featured Replies

Can anyone please tell me where is a good place to wire the orange dimmer wire for my head unit to? I was thinking, due to the location, to one of the buttons above the head unit slot? But, I could do with knowing which wire to send it to...

Also, my steering wheel has radio controls on it. The back of the radio has three multiplugs: green yellow and blue. One is empty, one has lots of wires and one has a couple of wires. I'm assuming one of them is for the CD changer and the other for the steering wheel controls but if someone could clue me in as to which wire does what it'd be a huge help!

Thanks

This may fill in some of the blanks for you - http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/43971-ice-iso-connections/

I had a look earlier today; there are only two wires in C-2, in pins 11 and 12 (remote control in and remote control ground). The +12v switched appears to be missing

Sorry to bump... The wires in my car are different to the diagram. Anyone got any ideas on what they might be; could this mean they are digital controls?
