skoda yeti rear interior lamp removal ?

Featured Replies

Hi

I recently bought my skoda yeti 2.0 tdi elegance 4 x 4 and im very happy with it so far but I wanted to upgrade the rear interior lights  from bulbs to led but cant seem to get the lamps out of the roof lining ..any advice would be appreciated

There is a metal spring clip to the rear (of the car) end that needs to be pressed in.

Then leaver the back edge out before the front.

Good luck finding LED bulbs that fit. They are very size intolerant and many bulbs are nominally sized.

I had great difficulty finding some before forcing some in...

There is a thread on here with pictures.

I also have some which I'll try to post later tonight.

I see it was thanks, I  will need to order the separate front and rear leds together

It's the back first.

Here's a clearer video and you can almost see the door hinges.

Mine must be in back to front then as "0" is at the front.

To remove the lights did you pull down on the front or rear of the light first?

To remove the lights did you pull down on the front or rear of the light first?

I simply inserted a small flat bladed screwdriver in underneath the  front edge of the light fitting next to the O mark. I then pushed the spring back with the screwdriver  and once I had it out far enough I pulled the front edge of the fitting towards me

I've just been trying to remove my rear courtesy light fittings, but I'm finding that it only comes out so far then it's stuck, this is on a 65 plate model (don't know if that makes a difference) I will try from the front of the car tomorrow and post if their is any success.

Screwdriver under the front to push in the retaining clip then pull down from the front and slide out. The connection sticks out a bit at the back but will pull forward when the front is dropped a bit.

It's the same as this Youtube clip, it shows removing the offside lamp.

Having the light in the "on" position helps when pushing the metal clip in to release it from the socket.
