Coding the bulbs to LEDs?

Featured Replies

I like to code all the interior light types from the bulbs to the leds. Does somebody knows the light codes?

- Footwell lights: (1)-Leuchte30FR LC72-Lasttyp 30 (from 20 - 4*5W to 43 - allgemaine LED)

- Door warning lights: ?

- Glovebox light: ?

- Trunk lights: ?

- Ceiling lights front: ?
- Ceiling lights back: ?

I have replaced all the bulbs with Narva: http://www.narva-light.com/en_EN/products/led_types/led_types/18001 (expect the trunk has SuperSkoda: http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-MEGA-POWER-LED-cargo-trunk-light-KI-R).

None should need coding as they're not monitored. I changed all my interior over to LED, plus the doors (inside and outside) no problems. :)

You are right. I have found only these which have 5W bulb:

- (1)-Leuchte30FR LC72-Lasttyp 30 (has 20 - 4*5W)

- (1)-Leuchte25KZL HA59-Lasttyp 25 (has 18 - 2*5W)

The reason to change the lamp types was this, when I changed all the 5W bulbs to LEDs, there were two faults:

All mine are LEDs and not had to code any of the interior lights or the puddle lights.

Have you tried clearing the codes to see what are still current?

Some models do indeed monitor the door open warning lamp, but once a CANBUS LED is in place the DTC can be cleared and will stay cleared.

The rest of the interior bulbs should not be monitored (I used CANBUS LED’s throughout the car as it was easier to buy 20 CANBUS LEDs than to mix and match them.)

I have cleared the codes, seems to appear again. Following the codes, now I have the original bulbs. Maybe I buy the SuperSkoda Power LEDs when ordering something from them again.

None of my bulbs are Canbus, and I don't have any errors. Mine are good quality CREE though, and support dimming.

I am surprised at that Andy, both my MKII Superb, the TT (2010) and IIRC the Yeti (2014) all have the doors requiring CANBUS LED’s

No issues at all on mine, puddle lights and door lights are LED.

I was a little surprised, as my O2 didn't like LEDs in the puddle lights.

They aren't CANBUS ones as they throw an error in the sidelights and the reversing lights until coded for LED.

  • 1 year later...

I'm seeing this fault code too after changing my door open lamps over to LED. Did you ever figure out what you need to re-code to prevent the fault?
