Help with 2005 Fabia VRS Passenger door card removal/replacement.

Featured Replies

Passenger front window dropped out-of-sight after a short twang....sound

Can hear window electric mechanism working up/down as switches are used.

So guessing without stripping, NEW DOOR CARD..required.

Have thoroughly scoured Fabia MK1 forum (to no avail), how to (remove/replace) door cards, + any pitfalls.

Assumed will require (besides door card) new door card clips (securing card to door), anything else ??

Before stripping out, I want to make sure that all requirements are in place.

Any ideas what a garage could charge for labour + VAT, of course..

If yours is a 2005, you'll need to drill out the rivets holding the metal door carrier in place, and then replace the cables and plastic bits of the window regulator.

FYI, the door card is just the cloth covered piece that goes over the carrier, you'll need to remove the door card first, then remove the carrier.
