Looking for a full set of discs and pads and was wondering what people would recommend? I'm wanting to stay standard and found a few on eBay relatively cheap. Item number 350901280764 and 230929368089. These any good? Thanks

They are fine. I believe ecp do this plus textar .eicher also.

I have mintex fitted to front of my remapped pd100 with apec rear. The fronts still look new after 8 months of quite hard driving.

I would rather pay the extra for front brakes imo

Yeah, Pagid are good. They are used as original equipment by some car makers.

Mintex get another vote from me. As good as OEM and considerably cheaper! Used them on all my cars. For the vRS it's around £45 for the front discs/pads and £38 for the rear discs/pads. 

 

It maybe a given but I'd probably change the fluid at the same time (unless it's been done recently) and give the callipers a good clean up/make sure nothing is seized.

Since the topic is already about brakes and stuff, I will place my short question here. My brake lights are activated only when my brake pedal is nearly half way down. I'm used with other cars to get the lights only pretty early, like when you just touch the pedal.

Is there anything I can do to adjust this or there is a sensor that might require to be replaced ?

May I ask where you buy them at that price for please? - I have been quoted £70 for front discs and pads.

Thanks for the links - just realised why your's were cheaper ... vRS discs are a tad bigger aren't they. Ah well. Thank you anyway
