clutch bleed

Featured Replies

In an attempt to iron out some early teething troubles I'm now thinking about improving a slightly notchy gear change. Having had similar problems with my mk1 eventually tracing it to a dodgy slave cylinder I'm hoping it's just a simple case of a quick bleed and an alignment. The slave on the box doesn't look like the ones on the mk1 5 speed though so before i attempt doing anything the question is is it best left alone or is it an easy enough job at home?

Mine just twists loose by hand. Just a plastic nipple by the looks of it. Gunson eezibleed the way forward?

Yep. You need to bleed about 150ml IIRC. Sounds like the same as mine.

Thanks buddy I've now got one reserved at Halfrauds ( Ezibleed ) so I'll give it a go in the morning. Alignment done so hopefully it should be fine.
