Nilfisk C130 vs Karcher K4

Featured Replies

Looking at getting a pressure washer for the car as well as for other jobs around the house and have narrowed it down to the two models in the title. Just wondering if anyone has experience of either machine or brand and which they would recommend. I know with the Karchers you can connect a suction hose to take water out of a water barrel etc(could be very useful with water charges coming soon), can the Nilfisk do the same? Haven't seen any mention anywhere of them being able to do this!

And also while on the subject what snow foam lance and snow foam would be good to go for?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Nilfisk, Karcher went to ****

On brand alone, Nilfisk every time.

As someone who has used both, I would recommend Nilfisk ..no question...In short..Ill never buy or recommend a Karcher again..Full stop

As regard your question re: suction...Yes I believe they do have this facility because you can buy a suction kit:

If you go\on the Detailing World website you can buy the Autobrite package..very good value...sorry cant find the link for you

When you are talking about water barrels, do you mean to actually use it as a water source or as Chris said to clear a water spill etc?.

As regards brand, Nilfisk....................That is all.

Cheers Chris, I found the Autobrite package on their own site. Looks like a good deal with 5l of foam alrite so will go with that.

Thanks Bob.

Interesting to see Vax into this market now.... any reviews positive or negative on these?

Is it a "rebrand" exercise (and what fitting is it) or have they had a good attempt are their own design?

One to watch perhaps.

Thanks Bob.

As far as I know it's their own, the fitting is a Lavor & they have aluminium pumps. I'm looking for a new washer & the spec on these are better than the comparable Nilfisk & better value, albeit I'm a fan of Nilfisk. But I'm also considering a Kranzle as with the € being strong you can get one direct from Germany at a very good price.

Ok - the Vax sounds solid then.

Mmmmm Kranzle - now you are talking.... that would be a worthwhile investment.

I used one down at Autobrite - surprisingly compact (whatever model Kranzle it was).

Its is a great deal...Well found

If you go for the Nilfisk, don't forget to ask for the Nilfisk fitting on the lance.

Good luck

Thanks for all the replies guys. Actually ordered the Nilfisk E130.3_6 which is a step up from the one I was originally looking at. Comes with better motor, hose and reel etc plus a load of accessories and was 200pounds on Amazon so alot cheaper than I could find anywhere in store over here.

Used to have nilfisk vacuum cleaners, a forerunner to henry, but indestructible and I think still going after 30+years sucking building debris.

I've just added the nilfisk pressure washers & accessories to the experimental depot area: http://depot.briskoda.net/c/10

What a great idea Colin

Indeed, it's a side project that needs some more work doing to it to make it 'how I want'. but I've been sat on it for weeks. I look for threads on here that have recommendations, then google to verify ;). If not soley sold by independents, or not hand made, in other words, can be sold on amazon without risking too many small independent self employed traders then I'll add it.
