Front Assist not on any 14 Plate cars?

Many thanks for the responses, just a little peeved that something which is supposed to have been standard has been removed.

It'll be that my new Skoda doesn't have Bi-Xenon headlights which I'll miss the most - I thought all cars had these as standard these days! Will I miss them, what are the standard halogen lights like?

Anyway - The plot thickens!

Now the new Skoda UK model configuration tool says that Front Assistance is an extra £315 on a vRS model & seems to be included on a SE L (Elegance) model.

It was only available from June 2013 - this was shown in the original version of the brochure, and has been mentioned once or twice in this thread.

Correct - so MY13.5, and was removed in November 2013 (MY14).

I think it is some quite serious work to retro fit the chrome, which is why the option was removed as some dealers had to compensate customers who had ordered it during the time they had supply issues.

The 'black pack' was an option on the VRS at the time I ordered my Elegance, which meant black mirror caps and black grill. Subsequently a 'black pack' was offered on the Elegance (and maybe other models), although bizzarelly it didn't include a black grill but it did include black Turini alloys. AFAIK anyway. Someone may correct me!

Thanks Airscool,  I thought it probably would be a fair bit of work to retro fit the chrome, but no harm in asking.  I think it would have looked nice on my Rio Red Octy, but I can't find a single pic on-line of a Rio red car with the chrome trim.

The dealers have finished repainting my doors and front bumper.  I'm collecting the car tomorrow, so fingers crossed they will have made a good job of the prep work and respray.  I'm looking forward to getting my car back, want to install the latest Sat Nav maps and some sender logos for the radio too.

Been running around in my 325Ti sport for the last 3 weeks, I'm going to miss the power it has, compared to the 105PS engine in my Octy though :dull:   Wish I could have afforded the 2.0 TDI instead.

Whoops! - of course it is :)

You'll soon settle into a more relaxed lifestyle and knowing that you're not paying any VED will help soften the blow. I am actually quite nicely surprised how much poke my 1.6TDi has.
