radio losing am channels?

Featured Replies

Since saturday the reception on am bands has got worse. I still get perfect fm.

But im a fan of 5live and talksport radio. The reception is soo unbearable now tho.

Would this be an aerial base removal job. Or is it more a case of needing a signal amplifier?

Anyone else had this

Thanks

there's already an amplifier in the base of the aeriel I believe. Could it be down to local weather conditions perhaps?

When car is parked in office car park.its surrounded by alot of metal buildings. which gives alot interference. But since saturday not been near any buildings the weather has been fine.

Very strange that its just lost signal.but fm is fine. I know its a very easy diy to do base. I had quick look at aerial which looks to have a small hairline crack at point of base. Would that affect it?
