Halfords coolant for Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi. I'm new to the forum so please bear with me if this has been asked before. The manual for my 2002 Fabia says to use G12 (red) coolant only and not to mix with other types, but I was wondering does anyone know if it is OK to use Halfords Comma G30 Antifreeze and Coolant Conc 2L instead, to top up?

The Halfords site lists this as suitable for the car, but does not say if it is red coloured and does not mention compatibility with G12.

Thanks for any advice.

The G12 pink coolant now has another number update, according to my independant garage when timing belt etc was carried out early this year.

Have read that G12 can't be mixed with other coolants, but can be topped-up using tap water.

I suppose a phone call to Skoda would tell you exactly what to use.

Thanks folks. The only reason I was asking is that Halfords is more convenient to get to, but if there is any doubt I would rather make the effort to get to the nearest VW/Skoda dealers.

Thanks again.
