Single din aftermarket stereo

Featured Replies

I bought a skoda fabia vrs on a 55 plate but the stereo was bodged in place. So I bought a single din facia from eBay but it won't fit. Can anyone shed some light please? New to the page

Have you any photos? What exactly doesn't fit?

If you click on the link I posted. The right hand side has holes for something to clip inTo it. The left hand side is just a whole. Is that right and like all others?

OK, I get it!

The holey (void) side should have either a flip-out-and-rotate cupholder or a metal blanking plate that the plastic side trim would clip in to.

You'll need the metal blanking plate rather than the cup-holder. Try a Skoda dealer. Hopefully someone will pop along with the part number to more accurately define what's needed <HINT!>.

Metal plate for void 6Y2857953

Left hand trim 6Y0857481

Right hand trim 6Y0857482

Top trim 6Y0857231

Then either buy a double din to fill the hole, or a single din stereo and buy

Lower storage tray 6Y0862639

Metal plate for void is the only one they could find on there system :/ just phoned them now

Did you ring skoda or tps? I know for sure that the top trim number is correct as I ordered one all of two months ago. I will look again later on

Looking at your fascia plate thing you only need the metal plate and some screws to attach it. Your all-in-one fascia plate should just clip around the lot then.

Just looked again and you are correct. OP try

N 90698603 for the screws to hold metal plate in, amd should be good to go

Is it not possible to swap the cage for another? Or is it a full dash job?

All you need is the metal plate and screws, then either skoda oem trim and single din plus storage tray, aftermarket fascia and single din, or double din with oem trims or aftermarket fascia

You should have a metal cage with your new single DIN. Arrange that so the stereo sits nicely above the oddments cubby and the surround will clip in around it.

BTW: Your photobucket pictures seem to be evaporating. :(

Went and bought a double din today. Should be here with cage Tuesday. So hopefully it all goes it well :)
