Im in the process of fitting a rear facing camera to my 2008 octavia,ive sorted the constant live & ive found that 3 of the four wires going to the wiper motor are live when the ignition is on & the engine running & the other is a earth,has anybody connected their camera using the wiper motor wiring? i was going to solder the camera wires into the live & earth that plug into the wiper motor. 

could use a scotchlock ? not the best but better than soldering. 

My Fabia rear cam is done that way,  I think the join was a little better than scotchlock though.  I think my mate did a soldering cut & shut with the wire going to the camera,  Was better in my opinion as essentially modified the loom to incorporate the extra feed.  

Thanks guys,i will stick with my soldering for the joints,a scotchlock maybe easier & quicker but it certainly isnt better than soldering to achieve a good connection.
