****ing swimming pool in the footwell

Featured Replies

Noticed a bad smell a few days ago. It was so thick and mouldy that i thought something had crawled under the bonnet and died.

Had a closer inspection last night when i took everything out of the car. In the rear passenger footwell on the drivers side i found a puddle of water when i lifter the mat. The floor was soaked through from the bottom up.

Have to phone the dealer this morning, but i don't think its going to be straight forward, carpets, linings etc.

Has anyone else heard of or experienced this??

Not a happy camper

Rear passenger footwell is the quiet common problem of the door seal not sealing properly. May also be worth checking that the drain holes in the bottom of the door are not blocked.

It could well be water leaking through a mis-fitted pollen filter
