I test drove a Yeti over a year ago and found the internal rear view mirror was blocking my vision. I saw on the "things to check" thread on this site that this can be alleviated by having the rain sensor option. I drove a 2 year old second hand Yeti yesterday with rain sensor and the mirror was fine. My questions is, can anyone confirm that having the rain sensor option makes the rear view mirror higher up on the windscreen in the new FL model? It looks like this option is a bit more expensive than it used to be as it only comes as part of light assistant in the brochure ("Light assistant with auto-dimming rear-view mirror and rain sensor") for £260. I don't mind paying that though to sort this out. This is the last thing I need to check before going ahead and buying the Yeti

I'm 6'7" and find the mirror position annoying or even dangerous for me in some cars (several current Audis). Our facelift yeti however with rain sensor is absolutely fine.

I have a 110 facelift and had the auto lights and rain sensor option fitted for that very reason, my last two didn't have it and the mirror was a bit of a pain.  

Lower your seat..

 

 I never really noticed the mirror as a problem in the Yeti I had.
