1500 miles in 5 countries

I`ve just landed back from a camping holiday in Germany, down near Todnau. Had a lap of the Nurburgring (got the sticker ;) ) and a blat up to 130mph on the Autobahn :) had more to go but it was starting to get a bit busy :(

The vRS was loaded down with 2 of us, camping gear and 2 mountain bikes and still had enough space for me to use the rear view mirror!

What a fantastic car! averaged 35.6 mpg over the full journey which imo is fantastic. The performance on the `Ring was brilliant, great brakes, handling and performance with all and sundry driving 911`s, GTR`s and M cars passing me :D

Comfort was good but could`ve done with another couple of inches leg room for me and the vRS seats were extremely comfortable for the last days 7hr drive back to Zeebrugge

All in all a brilliant car and can`t say that I regret signing on the dotted line for my first new car :D :D

Thanks for sharing, great to read you are happy. :)

Great to here you enjoyed it so much.  What was your lap time?  Never been around the 'Ring' would you recommend it?

About 11 1/2 mins I think :) This was the 2nd time I`d been round, the first time was on my Triumph Tiger 1050 loaded with camping kit :D I`d recommend it just do a bit of homework before you go re `Ring etiquette, overtaking, indication, keep right when being overtook etc. Plenty of sites on the net to look at. Don`t even pretend you know where you`re going on the track because there`s corners that will catch you out as you crest a hill thinking they go one way and they go the opposite :D

Just enjoy it and keep a good eye on your mirrors as there`s fast stuff there piloted by people who know where they are going ;)

Thanks, sounds a hoot, fingers crssed I will get to go and give it a bash. Sounds like caution is my best approach to it.

Thanks again.

Nurburgring sounds a hoot - especially like the Taylor Swift CD on the accessories list. I want to get my VRS down to the Ring at some point, having a smallish daughter my trip will be assisted by One Direction!
