front park sensors

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just came across a strangle glitch with the front sensors. Went into reverse and claims front driver side sensor is very close to something....when in fact nothing is there....continous beep tone.

Had this before, and tends to a water droplet, ice or some leaf debris etc. However when I check there was nothing....gAve the sensor a wipe, stop and started the car to try again....bbut still same issue?

it was a rather wet day today....bit dry when testing. Anyone had this issue before? Does it sound like a fault?

Will give it a try later after work and see if the issue is there there?

Apparently 'they all do that sir . . .' My wife's Yeti has a rear one which is exactly the same. Due a service soon so will be reported again. Has park assist, so that won't work when it's damp - not good! My Superb (same sensors . . ???) doesn't suffer this problem

Tried testing the sensors again when leaving the work car park....and they behaved fine!? Moved close to a car in front and they worked fine? Strange.....

When I got home I tried quickly spray the water hose over the relevant sensors for a few minutes and retested the sensors......worked fine and no weird behaviour as before?

I can only conclude it got it's kickers in a twist!

As I only got about 3 months left on the warranty, just wanna make sure any unpicked issues are raised now. But looks like this is now behaving fine and not much I can do.

Dontcha just love new fangled stuff.
