Bought a 1U octy a few weeks ago, and put my fusion headunit from my previous car in it straight away. My friend made me aware that I had to swap the red and yellow wires over, which I have done, but it still resets everytime I turn the ignition off, what else could be causing it? Its an absolute ballache setting it up everytime, especially now as I've also installed a sub.

 

The red and yellow wires should cure that issues. Double check on this video and see how he does it.

Did you swap the wires before you fitted it?

If you did then maybe try to swap them back.

I had them not swapped for 2 weeks, swapped them because it wasn't saving settings but still no joy. I'm really at a loss! I've heard something about the blue wire causing issues but that's not attached to the car loom at all.
