Brake servo difference PD130/PD100

Featured Replies

Does anybody know if the brake servo is the same on the VRS as it is on the pd100?

I know that the brake servo assist can be changed in VCDS, but when i tried, it wouldn't let me access the controller (genuine VCDS)

no idea but I have both if you need 1 I can check part numbers tomorrow if needed

thanks  mate but i wont be replacing it on my car, it is literally just out of curiosity, as every vrs i drive, the brake are a million times better than mine  :envy:

There are 2 variants of the part number George, both for cars with ABS, but doesn't say if it's different for different engines.

I drove past you on Sunday. You were in the long queue on the m20

Do a good brake service then.

- Strip all four brakes down, wind back the rear pistons and push back the fronts.

- Clean up all the sliders

- Clean up the discs removing any lip around the edge

- remove the pads and put a fresh chamfered edge on them.

- clean up the carriers and remove any rust or high spots

- do a brake fluid change.

You'll probably go through the windscreen after :)

VRS has 288mm discs, you're on 256mm in the PD100, I believe the servos are pretty much the same across the entire range.

Have replaced every brake part, and am using all Vrs brakes.

High end pads, braided brake lines, racing fluid.

But braking force is still rubbish.
