Seem to remember that the Autocar long termer had a similar snag traced to a faulty bulb in the hi-level brake light. Can't think now how many bulbs there are in the hi-level assembly, ie single one or groups of 3/5 (leg never been long enough to press the brake and stand behind to check!!). Maybe one of 'em has gone?

Didn't it drive the reporter mad because the garage took a few goes to find it?

I seem to recall he had to have the high level light unit replaced but I'm not 100% certain on that.
