I know this has probably been answered somewhere but I have looked on a lot of threads. Is there a quick way of checking what limitation my 2009 Superb has for SD card. ie is it just 2gb or can it take 32gb? Or do I have to insert one to find out if it plays or not?

My '12 Superb accepts 32 gb cards.

Depends on your software/firmware on your RNS-510 unit I think but if it's reasonably up to date a 32gb card should work without issue.

As you hint at, if in doubt try to borrow one from someone to try first.
