hi not sure no being remapped but it as a mtm audi racing chip in it it is very fast my mate as had is done to 230 bhp and mine leaves him standing can you help light as come on again today skoda tell me it is the ecu but i have lost no performas in the car what so ever can you help please

only the chip as been changed as i know all the rest standard

If it has a chip then it has been remapped (same thing)

ok i have had the car for 12 months and the light as not come on until the miss fire which i changed the plugs and then it turned out to be a coil in number four changed that then ok for 4 weeks then this 16985 internal control module fault so do i need a new chip in it

If you have older coils than J prefix then all of them should be changed by Skoda to the new sort free of charge,

If the light has come up again with 16985 then I would assume that there is a fault with the replacement chip.
