Importing maps to sat nav?

Featured Replies

Hi All, fairly new here.

Picked up my VRS 3 weeks ago and am off with a few friends for a jaunt around Wales on Friday.

One of my friends has prepared the route on Google maps.

Is there any way of importing the route into the onboard sat nav? I just have the standard Amundsen (with Canton).

I have seen a few threads where people talk about uploading a list of points of interest like speed cameras or national trust sites but nothing to string together a route.

As far as I can tell I'm currently looking at having to pre programme in all of the steps along the route (22 waypoints) and just set it to the next desination once I reach one.

Tried doing it as home to home via A B C D but it only lets you put 1 place in.

Failing that I might have to just upload the route to my old Garmin portable nav, just seems a shame that this is about the only trip I will be using the car where I actually need the sat nav and I'm going to have to use another one.

I can get the route a GPX file if that helps?
