Help me choose my next snow foam...

Featured Replies

I know this is an oldish thread but reading it today, I decided to try and purchase the kkd foam 5ltr from liquid something.

I put in all the quantities and flavour then it sends me to PayPal (my preferred method) but does not add the shipping?

On the basket it has a shipping calculator and gives me a price....driving me mad and no one answers the phone..PITA.

  • Blizzard for me. Would not use anything else. Foams like you have never seen, clings for ages and leaves the car really clean Sent from my Galaxy S5

  • Tidied up, but I did update tapatalk this am. If this is a new symptom...jeez.   However I'm also pulling data, so there is a bit of lag, noticed it myself posting this am. Only a few Gb left to go.

  • Thanks for your input Karl. I ended up going for BH Autofoam and Envy Bubbly Jubbly after a chat with Dooka. Impressed massively with the both of them. Envy smells lovely too!

Shame - very sad to hear this still continues.

I've tried to help a few people on this checkout - but it seems to be a nuisance that continues.

Mark and the KKD team need to really try and improve on this one i think.

Was it through the LiquidElements site or KKD direct?  LiquidElements site works better - in my experience.

You will find that further down the Paypal check out route there are shipping options and also space for discount codes too.

Just my honest opinion...

Auto perfection supreme - good cleaning power - expensive in 5 litres.

BH auto foam - excellent cleaning power, very cheap in 5 litres - doesn't dwell for long nor foam very well.

KKD Blizzard - foams really well, excellent cleaning power - very cheap in 5 litres

VP PH Neutral - cleaning power is ok, reasonable price in 5 litre, foams well.

Angel wax fast foam - expensive in 5 litres - foams well & very good cleaning power.

Not tried GtechniQ - hope this helps mate. Depending on your budget :)

I'll certainly look into some Envy SF then - if Dooka recommends it!

I just shared the last of my snow foam with Alan (BlueR36) - so time to re-stock.

Thanks for the info guys - much appreciated

OK mate - that's very kind of you indeed....

BTW - I finally found the other samples in the garage as I was unpacking more gear at the new house.

Another alternative that's not been mentioned (I don't think) is Dodo juice's "Apple iFoam". It's not the cheapest by far however you use less of it than others I believe. I bought a bottle to try, as the guy selling it helped me out with something else.

The only other snowfoam product I've used is AD Magifoam and I generally struggled to get a nice mix that would produce foam that would dwell for any period, often resulting in rushing to get coverage over the whole car and the foam running off in less than a couple of minutes.

I was slightly surprised to find that according to the instructions on the iFoam bottle, only roughly half of the solution was required when compared to Magifoam. I put only around 1cm in the 1litre bottle (had used 1-2 inches of magifoam previously) topped with around 700mls of warm water, yet when I applied it, it gave very controllable foaming from runny to almost shaving foam consistency by a quarter turn on the -/+ valve, and I covered the car with ease. There was still enough of the diluted solution in the mix bottle for around another 1/2 a car.

The foam clung to the car for considerably longer than the AD products, and I'm pretty sure it cleaned better. It has a nice apple smell and handily, didn't leave my drive covered in foam for hours.

Worth a try perhaps as a Chrimbo pressie perhaps...

Nice one - thanks for adding some new ideas to the thread.

No problem, it was more if anyone else wanted to try. Blimey though, 5L for £12 does make the iFoam expensive by comparison.
