Brochure or Configurator error

Featured Replies

In trying to configure a basic towing vehicle.

Vehicle selected = 1.4Tsi SE L

Option selected: Towbar.

Park assist is shown as an option in the Brochure but greyed out in the configurator...not that I want it.

Removed towbar but PA still greyed out and saying not available for this vehicle.

PS: Requested hard copy of the brochure and Skoda sent me the March issue...what a waste of time they are.

I think what its trying to say is, PA is now standard on the car therefore, can not be added.

You can download the latest brochure from here http://www.skoda.co.uk/tools/request-a-brochure

Note: for some reason if you are trying this on an iPad using Chrome as the browser, the link throws an error, works fine using Safari.

So it's a brochure error.

According to the latest catalogue, Park Assist is only a standard fit on the L&K.

Tow bar is an option for all models (except Greenline)...

More likely a configuration error

If you look at this summary, I just went for a standard SEL 1.4 Tsi, there is no PA listed.

I suggest you call a dealer or SUK and ask them to assist you :-)

Either way I think I would rather have one of the more useful option given to me than PA. Maybe Zeon lighting.

I find it odd that the Bi-Xenon's were included in the Elegance Yeti that we currently own, but are an optional extra in the Elegance (SEL) Octavia.

Having had them I would not be without them, so I have had to cough up the extra.

As for Park assist, if I ever get to the point where I need such a thing I'll give up driving.

same here, I went to the dealer wanting a set of xenons with an open mind as to what car was wrapped around them. Only the yeti had them as standard but I've had so many issues with the yeti and now spotted rust bubbles on a 4 year old car that I was persuaded to return to an Octy but it was odd having to cough up the extra for the xenons.

Are you all trying to say that SUK have errors in both the brochure and the online configurator?

Surely not *sarcastic mode*

Parking assistant should be part of the SE L Plus package which is currently included as standard. That's why you can't select it separately.

So in short, we do not know what we get with a vehicle during the model changeover period. Or rather what we are charged for but is free to the dealer.
