FABIAIII

Featured Replies

Hi guys, new to the forum - ordered a new fabia SE L 110BHP yesterday at my local skoda. Very happy and excited. Will take delivery In september. Woop! Apparently my build week will be past week 22 so mirrorlink should work....I'll wait and see on that one....

Anyway, My last car was a golf mk4 which was sold to me as a dud basically and was nursing it for years. Consequentially, I learned loads about mechanics from scratch and really enjoyed it. So to get ahead of the game...

If this is on a thread somewhere else I apologise but -

1) Where is ECU port on the new fabia? is it OBD2?

2) Is there anywhere online that can describe the anatomy of the engine (pref with pics)? I'd like to study it lots before I take delivery so I know exactly what's what. where is MAF sensor, thermostat etc - things I might need to know at some stage.

Also - what mods can anyone suggest? I didn't go for tinted back B-pillar extra in the end as I thought I could get it cheaper separately. What are re-mapping options or anything else that might be worthwhile.

cheers in advance guys and gals.

Welcome to the forum.

Worth asking in the Fabia III section where more members might see.

When you get the car check behind the panel for the fuses at your right knee area under the dash for the OBD2.

Remapping will invalidate your 3 or 5 year manufacturers warranty.

There is a recent thread in the Fabia III section on Tinting the New Fabias windows.
