Does anyone know the full suspension geometry settings for a Mk3 VTS TSI? Mine needs a new set of boots and I want to ensure everything is correctly aligned. My local fitter does not have the current model VRS on file, and I do not want "best guess".

Hmm, Hunter is available but the closest settings were for a mk3 1.4 TSI or mk2 VRS. I will check with other tire fitters (kwik-fit).

Are you really sure they had the correct settings, or perhaps just used a similar vehicle?

 

My fitter (Elite Tires - who use Hunter and whom I have used for many years) says that mk3 VRS's are not listed on file. My guess is that a Golf GTI 7 will be closer than a non-VRS Octavia, although the Golf has a shorter wheelbase.

Just have your tyres fitted then take it to the main dealers, i wouldnt trust kwik fit with anything,

He said he had all the Mk3's on the Hunter system, including vRS and Sport Suspension options on standard O3's, as I was going to get mine checked and wanted to make sure it wasn't a wasted journey (I have Sports Suspension on a L&K).

 

I haven't booked myself in yet, so can't verify 100% as I haven't seen with my own eyes, but I have had a few alignment jobs done there and he knows me as I have recommended quite a few people to him, so he doesn't have a reason to mess me about.

I had my alignment done about 3 weeks ago now, the place that done mine had the newest Hunter alignment rig and it had all the settings for the MK3 octavias

As I understand it, you have to subscribe to some kind of support and update contract to keep getting the newer vehicles added.

and then look at post 39 you can download the "Axles, Steering" workshop manual - pages 232 and 233 have the geometry settings.
