Black headlining, vrs?

Featured Replies

Did the octavia II pre fl vrs combi ever come with a black headlining? I really want one as thinking of going gloss black with all my interior trim. Not seeing any about other than mk1's

Yes it did.

I gave one away a few months back.

Have you thought about dying the one you've got?

I did think of that, I looked at a few US forums that had members do it.I guess getting the other bits like handles and rear view mirrors would be the issue.

People generally sell the headlining and pillar trims, lights, etc. as one bundle.

Someone in Europe wanted me to post the lights and grab handles to them and paid (almost) what I wanted for the whole lot.

They don;t come up very often, but they are there.

This was a big problem for those trying to make the Superb cat-vision conversion if I remember, as the VRS surrounds were all black like the headlining but the Superb buttons were that cream colour. Remember a few people spraying the buttons.

Summat like that. :)

Mine's black, looks really smart. I kind of assumed it was a standard VRS thing.

I assumed it was standard too as my car has very few options but it has black headlining

I wanted to fit a decent ariel and reverse / dashcam to the rear anyway so might take the headlining out and try dyeing it. I am thinking leave it in the sun to get it warm the spray on a strong dylon mix. Years ago I used to ride bmx's and we had skyway wheels made of plastic. We used to dye them by putting them in boiling water and dye mix.Just wondering if it would work with pillar plastics.
