Got the Fabia Custom Coded! Have no idea of the power but it won't stick to the road and was returning 18mpg earlier today :P

My motorway milage appears to have gone up though. I'm really happy, although deep down I'm nervous about what is going to break next. Banking on the turbo of the gearbox (something really expensive, like).

Highly recommended!

:D

It's unlikely you will break either of those 2 things with a remap... Although if you are thinking about upgrading, then it can always be arranged... :D

The PD100 is a great little car when .......

Oh dear. I'm getting 20mpg around town :(

Sounds good Jamie! 20mpg round town?!?! I knew there was a reason I didn't get it remapped ;)

To be honest, I had been booting it off every light. But when I saw the milage I reset the clock and drove like a granny, but still only got 25mpg. The power the map is producing is good, but something is amiss.

I'm taking it on a run up to Northampton this morning with the car full of camera gear so I'll see how it does on a bit of town, motorway and A-road. More later!

I think thats an under statement, Our remapped Octy 110 gave 164 bhp yet its a struggle to get it down to 35 mpg average & on runs its about 55

It must be smoking like a Red Arrow to use all that fuel

I get better economy from my "slightly modded   " 1.8T & thats knocking out 250 bhp

No smoke! Right, I'm off...

I've only ever got below that figure on track so either your stuck in 2nd gear or I'd give the remap company a quick call.

Dead MAF? Would expect more smoke if that was the case though ... or the trip computer is broken ;)

Chris

Out of interest who did the work ??

Latest installment of the ongoing (and not particularly interesting) saga of the mapped PD100.

Just got back from a 200 mile round trip to Northampton. Computer says I'm getting 42mpg average. Half of it was motorway driving and the other half A-roads. Gave it lots of spoon out of junctions and off lights and suchlike because I've a dirty, dirty charver at heart and I don't have any tyres left anyway.

Filled the tank once I got back into the land of cheap fuel and the computer says 420 miles until empty. I can't remember what I used to get. I think 470.

Still no smoke as far as I can make out.

Interestingly, this afternoon I was with someone in 1.6 Mk3 Golf, and I wasn't gaining much on him. It was slating it down and I didn't want to push my luck, but it was a still a little embarrassing.

Yep used to say 470 when you fill up :D

Definitely a problem there then ... wanna buy a

Ah.. the man who would also know - 470 mile range and you didn't like to hang about, if I remember correctly :D

I think a lot of the problem with the acceleration might be the little tyres. It did scuffle about a lot in the rain. If you have a set of 17s you want to sell me for

OK - three days on and another tank of fuel. This time the clock said 460 miles until empty. The MPG is hovering around 52 on the motorway and 32 around town. I found the car is happier, quicker off the mark and more responsive when you're not ragging it like a twit. I think it's quite middle-aged (!).

I filled up with Shell Diesel Extra instead of the usual (cheap) from my local Jet. The tank was almost empty. After the a few miles there was a noticable difference in the car - much stronger pull and I think I'm getting slightly better MPG (the rest of my trip was back into London). So maybe buying cheap fuel is a false economy.

Would be interesting to get it on some rollers. Case closed!
