Hi,

It's for my girlfriend's VW Beetle and was wondering if someone could help with telling us is it a straight plug in and play? We've watched videos and read threads but the cd players seem to have exposed wires whereas ours has 2 black clips (see pic). Is it a straight plug into the car with the 2 clips then or?

Any help will be appreciated. I own a Fabia so not a randomer posting on this forum haha...

We haven't looked at what's behind the old stereo yet as haven't got the removal tool yet but does anyone know roughly how this will connect and play? Thank you.

If you mean the old new beetle, it should be ISO, so they should just go straight into the existing loom.

 

The two bullet connectors mean you can swap the switched and permanent live the correct way round.

If it's the old new beetle (1997 - 2011) then the fascia is a different shape and the new one won't fit. The New Beetle has a rounded end type radio, so you'll need the adapter kit or fascia which are available. Maybe something like this?

The New Beetle radio is ISO as is the pic of the one you're going to fit, so should be good to go.
