Wife's New Fabia 1.2 SE

Featured Replies

Mrs F has just bought a new Fabia and she has let me drive it several times.

I think it is really good, the first Skoda I have driven with no rattles.

It will be really quick when run in, it is very quiet and refined too.

The 6 speed gearbox is fantastic as always with latest VAG cars.

The technology is excellent, although Mrs F will never get the best from it, as she would never read a manual.

I have synced her phone via Bluetooth with no problem and set her favourite DAB radio channels.

Until I swap out my Fabia vRS estate for a Leon 1.8 SC FR DSG, the Fabia will be a favourite drive for me.

The m.p.g. is incredible, it looks like it will actually achieve the manufacturers figures, with care, 50 m.p.g easy on a recent Sunday afternoon jaunt.

The footwell is a little too tight for me when driving in my favourite trainers, but will be fine with my driving shoes.

Stop start will probably only be effective in a traffic jam, we have never found it operating at traffic lights because, by the time you have engaged neutral, put on the handbrake and lifted the clutch, the lights have changed long ago.
