Filled up with fuel today and noticed that my Octavia is telling me it's due a service in 1500 miles.

However it was only done at 98000 and is at 106000 now. Surely 10,000 miles is a quick service turnaround considering it's on long life too.

Who did the last service?  There have been comments in other threads about having to reset the service light differently for long-life servicing, and if you got it serviced somewhere other than Skoda/VAG, they won't have reset it properly.

Sounds like it has been changed to fixed. The interval is actually 9,400 miles not 10,000.

Long life servicing scares me.

All our longlife capable vehicles get done every 10k.

Service was done at local garage - recommended good service from them.

Vehicle been on long life since owned by NHS but to be fair will probably have it done soon. Miles I cover anyhow. About 40K since August.
