Hi, had a new thermostat housing fitted a week ago, decided to clean the engine up today and notice this guy loose...should it be??  Where does it go as I couldn't see any obvious place it needs to be connected to.  Also no errors on my dash.

It's connected to your EGR valve (follow the hose out the back of it), and doesn't go anywhere else. It's a very basic air filter. Item 30 on this page.

Correct.

The air hose coming off the back of it connects to the EGR. The white bit pointing at your throttle body doesn't connect to anything.

Thanks again...I was thinking as its a breather it would be left to air but just double checking
