Uprating vRS with Rarb and lowering springs and shocks

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a Shark stage 1 on my petrol vrS and I am tying with the idea of lowering it a touch with new shocks and a Rarb as well. Are there any downsides to this (will my fillings in my teeth drop out!), also, is there a reliable company who can do all the work and if so how much? What make to go for etc..... 4 years ago, I organised a group buy with the Shark remap and managed to get over 30 members to buy into the remaps and got ourselves a really good discount.....I wonder if we could do the same with the uprated suspension?

I live in Hertfordshire by the way but can travel for the right price.

Well just got quotes from 2 companies

One £1254 Bilstein b12 kit, new topmounts and bearings, "7whiteline rarb supplied and fitted and realignment

Other

£702 b12 fitted

90 top mount

60 alignment

Front and rear arb 480 plus vat

Cheaper if just Bilstein but note expensive overall

I would get the RARB done first and see how you feel. Best mod by a long way.

100% agree, transforms the handling, without affecting the ride quality.

keep in mind the RARB is a 30min job.  The front requires the subframe to be dropped and takes about 1.5 hrs (IIRC).

Sent you a pm re the quotes gatsbys

Thanks brad

B12 kit plus H&R anti roll bar would be a good setup, even better if you add superpro bushes or ALK to the front.  and no, your fillings wont fall out with that setup :)

talk to Alex @ AKS tuning in bedford.

Good to know as I'm going Bilsteins this weekend and wanted to do ARB's too. Dropping subframe on a driveway would be a challenge.

Do-able for some I'd think
