What is a good ballpark figure for replacing an exhaust manifold on a mk2 octavia 2.0FSI? Having got a local garage to investigate the lumpy power delivery they say its most likely down to the exhaust manifold; I knew it leaked when I got the car, and the warning light comes on for the egr valve and lamda sensor, both of which are mounted to the manifold, so all the signs point to this and not the fuel pump.

I know this is a labour intensive job so won't be cheap, but when I asked the mechanic I got the response "I wouldn't like to say". As I paid very little for the car I don't want to throw to much money at it.

Why not ring a few scrap yards up, and then you will have an idea and then go from there. Or are you wanting new?
