Thought I'd post here for anyone that is interested....

 

Installed a short-shifter from dieselgeek.com  and I have to say it makes a major difference. Really short throws between the gears now.

 

Might be a little notchy for some but not for me. Install took less than an hour in all including the test drive. Celebratory beers took a little longer.
