vRS Monthly Figures - out of interest

Featured Replies

Hey,

Out of curiosity, what sort of ball-park figure would I be looking to pay for a MY15/16 vRS over 3/3.5 years on PCP or PCH?

Pondering whether or not to see if I can trade up early at the dealer in 12 months time (if all goes well with a new job) and wondered what I would/should expect to pay - above the £200 I pay for the 1.2 SE I have at present. I'm thinking £280 odd on PCP?

Cheers.

Have had my shoes and socks off.

vRS (SKODA OCTAVIA HATCHBACK 2.0 TSI VRS 5DR):

ROTR, £22,183 (@ Drivethedeal)

Deposit, £1000

To pay, £21,183

Baloon of £9,000 (are these usually higher than this for the vRS?)

To pay, £12,100

£12,100 / 42 = 288 per month

I wasn't far off with my guess, but there are obviously many other factors, i.e. optional (read necessary) extras :)

I'm paying a little more at £330 a month.

If I remember correctly:

ROTR was £26,500

Balloon of £10,000 I think

£4,000 deposit

42 month duration

But I said 20,000 miles a year which I think bumped it up the monthly payments a little.

*edit* just released that those number make £300 a month. I must have slightly misremembered...

That's a lot of car you have for £300 a month too, are you planning to keep it (i.e. pay the baloon) at the end of the term?

Agreed, I like it lots too!

Yes, almost certain I'll keep it at the end. I don't think I could justify getting a new car, and there'd be little point selling it to buy a different second hand car (unless something drastic happens between now and then!).

Did you require the extra space of the estate, as I'm trying to think why I'd need the extra space when the hatch is a black hole for space as it is?

Agreed, the hatch has plenty of space. We were comparing boots at the national. It looks like the hatch has a deeper drop from the bumper shelf to the boot floor if that makes sense.

I didn't/don't need the space, but I prefer the look of the estate over the hatch.

£270 month. 48 Month PCP on VRS Tdi with a few options

Oh forgot £500 deposit

I started looking at a 18 month old VRS estate in Ridgeway Oxford up for ~£19000. Figures were ~£4000 down and £190/month x 41 months and about £7500 back end. Then I saw the PCH through Freedom Contracts at £1850 down and £218 / month (added a £10 for front park sensors otherwise it would be £208). Bargain... although the Golf R estate at £2000 down and £258 a month offer which they launched a few weeks later did sting a bit. Doh

Those PCH figures assume 10K miles per annum (and it looks like they'll be long used up before my time is up... at least the excess is about 7p/mile..)

What does that leave at the end Tim, if ya don't mind me asking?

Sounds reasonable if you don't mind the longer term.

I assume taking the second hand route would incur an APR percentage?

I assume taking the second hand route would incur an APR percentage?

Yeah, 8% so it was pointless. I almost went on the 0% and I probably would if I'd dug a bit deeper and found a good discount like drivethedeal...

9k

Yeah the longer term suits me as I'll keep this I think

What kind of deposit do you want to pay?

Everyone above seems to be looking at Their monthly direct debit amount which isn't the actual cost. You need to combine any deposit into your ownership and include that into your monthly DD to get the actual cost to you.

OTR price - balloon devide by 42(presuming 42 month term) = overall cost per month. Don't ignore your deposit :)

Iv gone pch route on a vrs hatch for 24 months, costs just short of 7k over the 2years, initial deposit of 1500 quid, about 40 quid a month cheaper than pcp, with the balance of my 20% deposit in an isa that will also get topped up over the 2years with the balance of the difference in the pcp rental charge, I based it on a 25k car being worth at best 15k in 2years, so 3k less in costs over 2years, plus i have 3k+ in my isa, to get a replacement sorted, and if i go for a different make, I may gain further discount for a no px deal, worth trying most things once

vRS Estate TDI DSG and few other bits abnd bobs. Mine is £275 over 42 months, £7k down and £9.5k at the end. Based on 18k miles a year. Will be keeping until the end and possibly paying off unless I can get the same deal on another new one.

Hi All,

I have just ordered mine through a PCH deal, as follows:

3 years 15K per anum

vRS tdi

Race Blue

Black pack plus

Amunden Sat nav

Canton sound system

Heated washer nozzles

£965 deposit plus 35x £320 a month.

The options bumped the price up a lot but if I'm having it for 3 years they were a must.

Cheers,

Josh

Sounds good. I'd need nowhere near 15k a year (more like 8k) so I'm sure that would reduce the monthly payments by a reasonable amount.

I'm on a PCH deal, collecting it on Monday. Standard race blue diesel, manual vrs estate. My deposit was £1595 and 23x payments of £195,

That's on 9000 p/a 6p extra per mile.
