Wheel nut cover removal tool?

Featured Replies

My wheel bolts are covered with little grey caps. Should I have a tool in the boot to remove them with?

Any ideas where to get one from?

Cheers

In the polystyrene tool kit there is a pair of black plastic tweezers

Nope. Just a jack in there and a wheel brace.

And now a locking nut key (which cost me an expensive trip to the dealer!)

If your anywhere near Manchester I have one you can have.

That's the one

It looks like that. You can buy such thing somewhere on eBay. Shouldn't cost much because it's actually only a piece of plastic.

The car probably did have one but they tend to get 'borrowed' and left on the workshop floor by tyre fitters.

Ebay is probably your best bet for getting a new one.

I end up using a pair of needle nose pliers.

Have a fun adventure rummaging round a scrappy for one, I can't imagine they'll charge you for it.

If you ever get down to York I have a spare one you can have!

Thanks all. Ordered one from eBay :)

They not only about £3 from the dealers.

Probably, couple of quid on ebay in the end :) I just couldn't find one at all when I first searched.
