First decent longish journey mpg

Featured Replies

Although I had the car since november, last week was the first time I done a journey more than 30 miles. I thought I'd check the brim full mpg test and was well pleased to find a return of 76.6 mpg. This was a 252 mile round trip, mixture of A, B roads over the Pennines and @ 120 miles motorway driving. To be honest I just took it steady, sticking to speed limits all the way but really pleased with the car, ride, comfort etc.

wow, that's impressive. On the long run I did recently I got nowhere near that, but I wasn't hanging around on the motorway

I find my Mii gives better mpg the warmer it is (as long as I can avoid using the air con) so now is a good time for an economy run. But 76mpg is impressive

My wife's Mii Sport is doing 57mpg brim to brim. Still only 6000 miles on odometer so I expect it'll improve but we're both happy with that.

It's amazing even when I'm being naughty how good the fuel consumption is on these! Even including a track day it still returned over 50mpg!! Motorway journey there and back.

The citigo is a great little car, will be sad to see it go!

I used to drive mine to see how bad I could get the mpg but it would never go down to any bad results [emoji57]

I have only done 1100 miles in mine but it is certainly loosening  up and with it the fuel consumption.

Filled it three times

First filling 53 mpg ( local and backroads)

second      62 mpg ( motorway only)

Third  ( mix of backroads and motorway)  69 mpg

Can't get much better I reckon !

I'm falling into bad habits already with the Greentech. 95% of my time is spent on the M40 where I seem to be getting just under 400 miles per tank. The pid is showing around 54mpg on average but I seem to be doing what the car is not really designed for. It seems to relish motorways and loves to be in the outside lane with its' tongue hanging out!

I always thought of my much missed mk 1 Fabia vRS as being a "Jack Russel" car. Always wanting to be off the leash and having a go at something bigger. Cocky little b that didn't know the meaning of quit. Hopefully the new TSI 1.2 110 will display some of that.
