Fabia air intake

Featured Replies

Hi guy's,

Just want to double check, has anyone got a diagram of the exact location of the air intake on a 2008 fabia 1.4TDi PD?

I understand your question, and i do not have a diagram,

but it is easy to find one with a google, or google images. I have been looking at Diagrams and Pictures.

Can i ask,

? Why do you need to see one?

I have a air system cleaner that needs half a can in the air intake.

I would give that a total miss. Too risky.

Just Check the Air Filters Condition and replace if dirty.

Wipe the Airbox clean, make sure it is dry, do not use solvents etc, do not kill MAF Sensors or the likes.

See how the car goes.

neil,I agee with goneoffSKi. Depending on which spray you have, you must not spray it into the air intake unless it's on the engine side of the air filter. The spray will most likely damage your air filter if you do. It shouldn't be necessary. My advice is don't use it. Is there a specific reason you feel the need to do this? Is the car misbehaving?

Is it for the air con air perhaps?

Thanks guys, no problems with the car I just like to get rid of that musty smell when I have the air con on.

Sorry i misunderstood Air Intake and Cabin A/C Air Intake /Air System Cleaner / Bacteria Killing.

Yes just want to kill any bacteria

It'll be somewhere under the plastic cover close to where the nearside windscreen wiper attaches. You might be able to see it with a torch and a bit of careful lifting of plastic.
