Interesting - Demo model of new model already on sale in Switzerland

Featured Replies

Advertised for sale are they not.

Would they not reserve it for you, while trying to sell you a new one?

Can you actually buy them before they have been registered with the Dealer for 3 months / 4,800 km?

Possibly still owned by Skoda not the Dealership.

?

So if you turn up with the full asking price today can you then take ownership and drive away with the car as advertised?

The one I saw (see other thread) was dealer registered so officially, I suppose, classed as a Demo vehicle?

I don't know about the 3 month/4800 km rule I am afraid but if it's registered for the road by the dealer I assume it can be bought if someone wants it?

I was just surfing Autoscout24 and saw it advertised....so I assumed it's for sale now if someone wants to buy it. Interestingly, if you do the on-line configuration and add the panoramic roof it comes at at 42000chf....so they have put a premium on it (although there may well be other extras not listed on the car).

The Usual Rule here in the UK is, they get cars cheap and it suits them Tax wise to have a Demonstrator,

but then sell it after 3 Months / 3,000 miles, not before.

They get their Demonstrators Cheap from the Manufacturer / Importer, sell not so cheap, make more profit and its a Salespersons Personal Transport while clocking up the miles between Demo Runs.

But who knows, if they have Demo that can be sold, and still another in for Prospective Customers to Drive or be Driven in,

then maybe they will sell at the present time.
