Ordered 1st July

Featured Replies

I ordered my new Superb yesterday - L & K Estate 2.0 150 PS DSG Auto in Rosso Brunello with brown leather. An awful lot of techno kit on board. Some factory options were included on previous model and vice-versa (eg vent seats now £425, but electric hatch now included). Overall the level of equipment seems much improved from my current model for not too much of a price-hike. Here's hoping for a September delvery

Congratulations. Hope you'll enjoy it.

I didn't realise the dealers had the options configurator available yet?

SUK configurator still not up yet, thought it might have been by now. I have a change detection on it so hopefully flag when it's updated with the Superb

Agree.. !

All prices confirmed (inc options) and orders are being taken by dealerships... so am puzzled on to why it's taking this long for Skoda UK to flick a switch.

I understand that more often than not these things are done (or not) for good reasons but... just can't think of one, particularly when other markets such as Germany have had the new model on their configurator since 1968!

You can't even download a Mk3 brochure from the Skoda website yet.

I'm temped to start a Superb III Car Configurator 'hedge your bets' thread to guess when it will actually come on line. I think a lot of us following this model expected it by now. I am a potential Skoda customer for the first time and I want to budget my chosen model and options but I can't until it can be configured.

Best of luck with the new car. Nice exterior colour choice! We'll expect lots of updates now as you'll be one of the first to get one on the road :)

Just thought I'd throw in my penny worth (or nearly 40k worth!)...

I have just ordered the 280PS L&K hatchback in Cappuccino & Brown.

Delivery estimate is "about 4 months" so looking at October-November.

As I ordered almost every optional extra I guess it will take longer than usual.

Hi BillyJim,

What options did you leave off? I am thinking along the same lines as you but for the estate. Were you given the option of the 'supersport' steering wheel?

If by "supersport" you mean the paddle wheel, then yes, a £95 option which I went for:- 3 spoke leather multifunction steering wheel with DSG paddles Only available in combination with DSG transmission

Didn't change the road wheels (I like the Pegasus Anthracite), nor opted for the space saver.

No front seat isofix (no kids).

No SmartGate (I have VCDS).

No swivelling tow bar (don't own a trailer or caravan).

I did go for the Bluetooth+ Phone Box (as opposed to the LTE) based on the description that it improves signal by 20%.

I also asked for the Boot Net Programme, but there's some confusion over that. It's shown as standard for the SE L Executive and L&K in the brochure, but in the same brochure it's shown as a £55 factory fitted option across the range. I've asked the dealer to clarify. It's not showing as an option in the online configurator (It might be the onset of senility but I could swear I saw it there two days ago).

And it seems, now that the order has been placed, the delivery date has changed to September.

Just to add... The configurator shows an option of grey or beige roof lining when selecting brown leather for the L&K, but this doesn't appear to get a mention in the brochure (I opted for beige).

And... although I'm a smoker I don't smoke in the car so the smokers option was ignored too (and the Phone Box goes where the ashtray would go in any event).

Oh that's good news :) I posted about the boot net in the Configurator thread. I think you'll find it's standard (at least that's how it appears as the configurator lists it as such for L&K and brochure does apart from the option list as you have found - a probable mistake). The discount sites (e.g. Coast2Coast) also list a supersport wheel option at £350. I think this is different to the £95 option to add paddles to the standard wheel. Maybe the dealer can clarify that one too? Supersport wheel is mentioned in the brochure but not listed in the options table.

I agree with the LTE option it just seems too expensive for what it's offering and I'd also go with the Bluetooth+ Phone Box.

I would be adding towbar because I'd be considering a bike rack which is towbar mountable. With the sunblinds did they offer only rear windows or also give a choice of back + rear windows sun blinds?

You'll find the options I am referring to listed here - https://admin.c-fleet.co.uk/quote/vehicle.lml?ID=GPR1BJ02ZQ600GW&vehicle_type_F=C&manufacturer_id_F=44&model_id_F=420&body_type_id_F=4&derivative_id_F=87239&fuel_type_petrol_F=P&fuel_type_diesel_F=&fuel_type_other_F=

The link returned an error - invalid user ID.

I used the Factory Fitted Optional Equipment listing in the brochure to spec my car and, as it turned out, so did the Škoda dealership. Effectively they were working from the same source I was using, so whatever is listed in the brochure options is what I had to choose from.

Yes, I went for the back and rear blinds.

As you say, there's no "supersport" listed - not in the brochures options nor the configurator. I can't envisage what would justify an extra £255 on top of the paddles, certainly not just for perforated leather. As I was only looking to get paddles, regardless of any other options the supersport wheel may offer, I'm afraid it's something I won't be chasing up.

The LTE option would require a data sim card. That function can already be carried out by the Cellular Hotspot option of my iPhone - not that I've ever found the need to use it.

Thanks BillJim

You've come to the same conclusions I did about the wheel. I would imagine supersport means it's also flatbottom like the Octavia VRS but as you say, that and a bit of perforrated leather adding £255 seems a stretch! My post here and the one below it shows the inconsistencies between the configurator and the brochure (also mentioning lack of back sunblind in the configurator).

Also agree about the LTE - there's an ongoing cost to have a data SIM card just for the car - a bit pointless if your phone already has it. Only really seems usefull for passengers if you have a lot of them needing internent access!

Not sure why the Coast2Coast link I posted isn't working (I works for me). If you're interested you can go to the main website - http://www.coast2coastcars.co.uk/

Then select Skoda, Superb - Hatchback, Petrol. Click on GET QUOTE and select 'HATCHBACK 2.0 TSI 280 Laurin + Klement 4X4 5dr DSG' from the list below to see the selectable options.

For my 1st July order - I've been given build week 40 - end of September/early October - so no September delivery!

However, on a positive note(?), it gives me time to being tempted to add even more factory-fit options. I gather that the dealer-fit options list will soon be available too.

Had an email from Coast2Coast yesterday. They couldn't quote on the L&K Hatch. They said the suppliers they use weren't supplying to them anymore
