central locking not working

Featured Replies

Hi, hoping for some ideas. Yesterday the central locking on my Fabia stopped working. I can open the front doors manually but the back doors and boot won't unlock, from the inside or out. Plus while I was stood with the door open, the front electric windows opened by themselves. They're not supposed to work without the key in the ignition! Do you think this could just be a blown fuse (which I could replace) or will I need to take it in? And do you think this could be related to the weather we're having??

Welcome to the Forum.

Where are you what weather are you having, Rain or Heat.?

Rain (H20) will mess up the electrics in the door.

What Fabia is it you have?

Ha! Sorry, am in UK, it's been really hot. Does affect the car as when I get in it is hard to turn key in ignition. It is a 2009 mk2 1.2l 70bhp
