Skoda exhaust, quality of materials

Featured Replies

I state materials because I am not sure if some on the higher spec vehicles are stainless steel.

How many Skoda drivers have had theirs replaced and at what age/mileage.

I ask because I run a 1998 Audi and it's still on the original pipe after 145,000 miles.

I have only ever had to replace petrol engine exhausts, even my wife's Yaris which only has 57k miles but is eleven plus years old with only local journeys which is even worse for exhausts.

None have had to be replaced on any of our cars since the 1980's, during which time we had several Fiat Mirafiori, which used to romp through exhaust back-boxes in about 6/9 MONTHS!

SWMBO 2003 2.0 Focus is on the same system at 52k, as is our 2006 MKI Superb with 120k and so is our sons 2007 1.4 Grande Punto with 74k.
