Replacement springs for standard ride height

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm looking at replacing the shocks on my car as the last MOT highlighted that the fronts were misting. I'm going to fit Bilstein B4's but as I'm replacing the shocks I'm thinking of replacing the springs as the car has covered 157K miles on standard suspension. So, can anyone recommend standard ride height springs other than from Skoda, i.e. Eibach etc ? Also, whilst changing shocks/springs what else should I be changing while its apart ? Many thanks

Most of the aftermarket firms only offer lowered springs.  Possibly KYB K-Flex are standard height?  Otherwise you'd need to get custom made...

Change the bumpstops if they look untidy  the strut top assembies (bearings & rubber).  The drop links will probably be a corroded mess & will have to be cut off so add that to the shopping list. I think there are some stretch bolts holding it together - I didn't bother but some are fussier than me

Thanks for the heads up Brad

I can recommend kilen springs from ebay - good quality and very good value if you are after standard height springs
