Vehicle equipment data

Featured Replies

Hi All

I am having a look at the list inside the service schedule booklet at all the equipment codes on the VRS.

Is there a list somewhere that tells you what the codes mean?? I am specifically looking for what size brake disks are fitted and wondered what else was installed.

Cheers

Dave

This will decode all the options, but won't say what size discs you have.

If yours is an Octavia vRS as listed in your profile, they'll be 312mm discs.

Cheers.

I also found this:

I got the codes sorted out but as you say it doesn't tell the disk size. It is the VRS so will be 312mm front but it's the rear sizes I am looking for so I order the correct replacements.

This help?

For rear discs ECP will often include the PR code in the description, so its just a case of matching them up.

PR code ???

I called the dealers for a price. They wouldn't give the sizes but it's £249 for disks and pads for the front and the same for the back. A bit pricey.

Do you have 1KP as one of the option codes/PR codes on your data sticker? If so that would confirm the correctness of the info in the link I posted above.

If you don't have a front disc code listed, try to find a friendlier dealer who might give you a pdf/print-out of the full 'car data' for your vehicle. For my Polo this is a 5-page pdf. A lot more info than on the stickers.

It doesn't have 1KP as an option. I looked on several sites and they give several options for disk size. 312, 288, 286, 282, 272 etc. Not helpful. Just noticed I have an ECP close so can always change them easy enough if they don't match the originals when they are removed.

Have a glance at this page, relevant to a 2010 model 1Z Octavia. See the last column, third row from the bottom? I'm pretty sure that *RS* refers to vRS, and that page is the only rear brake option that includes *RS* in that column.

So I'd start with 282mm unless anyone suggests I'm wrong, from experience.

Also note the other PR codes and try & match them with your list

When I replaced my 2011 VRS rear discs I measured them and they were 288mm
