Hi all

You may have seen by my posts on the Mk3 Octavia VRS section of the forum, where I was trying to decide which car to go for, a Mk2 or a Mk3. I am now looking for a late low mileage Mk2 Octavia VRS.

I have seen one on autotrader, a 2010 manual VRS in Race Blue. One owner and a low mileage of 17k miles. It is in a garage for £9999. The problem is, I would go for a look even though I really want a later one, but it is about 150miles away. Do you knowledgeable members think it is a bargain, so worth the trip? Can't get there till at least Saturday anyway and it may well be sold by then.

I think it's overpriced by £2k.

Would need to know more about the spec. Mileage that low isn't great either.

Looks to be the basic model, no xenons, no parking sensors etc. I think I agree with you so no trip oop north for me. I did wonder how long that vehicle must have been stood around, or used on very local journeys, with that low a mileage for a 6 year old car. Mind you, a lot of low mileage cars seem to be too far above book price anyway. Will have to keep looking within a 100 mile radius.

Last time i looked there was a few late mk2 vrs's for sale in the classified section on here, have you had a look there?

Hi mikey vrs

Nothing on here that suits me, I do keep an eye on the classifieds. I am rather fussy though. Want a 2011-2012, petrol, manual, mileage under 30k miles. Under 25k if possible. Parking sensors would be good and if possible xenon headlights. I could of course fit parking sensors afterwards. I do not like black or white cars either. any other colour considered. See what I mean, bloomin fussy! Hopefully if I am patient enough, the right car will come along.
